Christian Education is one of five main ministries. The ministry seeks to engage all ages in faith formation and learning for life. Participation may be through a formal class or casual activities or worship.
The Ministry recognizes that everyone does not learn in the same way or grow from the same experience. So, the Ministry strives to offer a variety of opportunities in addition to formal programs. Many of these offerings are in cooperation with the other four ministries. Through Mission, Evangelism, Stewardship, and Worship, faith is deepened, strengthened, and shared.
Bible Study is offered every 2nd and 3rd Sunday morning at 10:45 a.m. in the Church Parlor on the main floor. Participants are encouraged to visit Fellowship Time after worship and enjoy refreshments before study. Discussion is led by Rev. Russell Swayne. Fall theme is “The Parables” followed by “The Miracles.”
Christian Women’s Auxiliary (CWA) invites women into Christian fellowship with the primary purpose being service to church and community. Through the years, the ladies have sponsored numerous fund raisers with proceeds supporting mission, church renovation and maintenance, families in need, summer camps, kitchen supplies, and annual church offerings. CWA also contributes to the church budget every year. CWA gathers the first Wednesday of Sept.-Dec. and Feb.-June. The ladies begin at 6:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Each month they share refreshments, care and share time, prayer, and programs of faith and friendship. Most of all, they make serving together fun.
