Bible study can take many forms and use a variety of methods. First Congregational Lockport UCC offers many opportunities for Bible study in fellowship with other adults. Study opportunities vary according to theme, group size, season, and meeting time.
Small group meeting Sept. - May to explore ways Scripture applies to living today. Casual format in the setting of the church parlor creates a time of friendly discussion.

Men gather to share their faith through prayer, discussion, and friendship. An informal format includes devotions, discussing current topics, support, and prayer. Leadership is shared by the participants. There is no prescribed text; each gathering is complete in itself.
Summers meetings move to a local park.
This men’s group enjoys at least one field trip a year open to families and friends.

Mini-study looks at the nature and importance of forgiveness in everyday living, examines the stumbling blocks, and offers tools for using forgiveness to improve mental, physical, and spiritual health within ourselves and among friends and families. Small group setting.
Meditation provides methods and practical exercises for building personal times of prayer into busy lives. Specific skills practiced in small group help direct thoughts to a more spiritual level and enhance the benefits of meditation and relaxation.
