Christian Ministry Center

The Christian Ministry Center is located at 604 E. 9th Street, Lockport, IL. It is right next door to the First Congregational United Church of Christ and forms a vital part of the church's ministry. The Ministry Center houses ministries that reach out to meet the needs of the local community.

Currently, the Ministry Center houses three such ministries: the Open Door Teen Coffeehouse, the FISH Food Pantry, and LifeBridge church.

Open Door Teen Coffeehouse

The mission of the coffeehouse is, "...to provide teens a safe place to gather, and for all ages to have fun, fellowship, and an opportunity to either deepen or discover the joy of a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ." The Open Door Coffeehouse is open Fridays from 7:00-10:00 p.m. and provides live bands, karaoke, open mic nights, dances, and other gatherings.

FISH

This is a food pantry serving Lockport residents with emergency food assistance. It is open:

Monday - 8:30-11:45 a.m.

Wednesday - 8:30-11:45 a.m.

Friday - 8:30-11:45 a.m.

LifeBridge church

LifeBridge Church is a refuge. They are a peculiar community of blessing and acceptance. Their purpose is to retell the story of Christ through sacrament, worship, community, and mission. They are seeking to adjust their lives around life, mission, and teachings of Jesus Christ in the hopes that thier experience will bring into clear focus this real and living Person to anyone watching. They are not a place to go, but a people to belong to — a people who have been called to live out the Good News of God's Kingdom in every niche of culture.
